Working Together Research Project

HEN received funding from Awards for All for our ‘Working Together’ Project to learn from community groups and organisations across the Highlands what support would help them to get more involved in environmental projects and sustainable issues.

During 2015 seven researchers across the Highlands carried out a survey and spoke to a wide range of groups and organisations - some that focussed on environmental subjects and others whose focus on other issues - for example community or health.
The researchers discussed some of the challenges that groups face in developing their projects, and what could be done by other groups, agencies and funders to support them.
 The researchers were:
  • Caithness - Louise Senior
  • Sutherland - Romany Garnett
  • Ross-shire - Anna Jemmett
  • Inverness-shire - Anna Scott
  • Badenoch and Strathspey - Rachel Avery
  • Skye and Lochalsh - Ellie Maclennan
  • Lochaber - Victoria Barker
Hen will be using the results of this research to plan for the organisation's future. Specific plans can be seen in the HEN Action section of the report.
